GREENS

Arugula ‘Astro’ – 40 days.

'Astro' is a reliable, early variety, wide leaves, slower-to-bolt, and is more heat-tolerant than others. The medium-green leaves have a cut-leaf shape and a nutty flavor, which gets stronger in warmer weather. It can be utilized year-round for clipping and bunching.  

Collards ‘Champion’ – 60 days.

Overwintering collard is grown for pot greens in cold weather. Well known in the South.

Kale ‘Curled’ – 75 days.

Kale ‘Lacinato’ – 65 days.

Open-shape kale has straplike, blue-green leaves, 3 in. (8 cm) wide by 10 in. (25 cm) long. Extremely Winter hardy. Good for culinary and ornamental use.

Spinach – 45 days.

This variety has large, smooth, elongated oval, medium-green leaves. Offers high yields and multi-cuts for processing growers due to its bolt tolerance and large leaves. In addition, it has resistance to races 11-12, 14 and UA4410 of downy mildew.

Swiss Chard ‘Bright Lights’ – 60 days.

This jewel plants a rainbow of color in veggie and flower gardens! Produces delicious, mildly flavored stems in yellow, gold, orange, pink, violet, green, white, red and even striped! Good flavored, early, bush shell pea. Tolerates Powdery Mildew and Common Wilt.

Oregon Sugar Pod II – 105 days.

Flat, smooth, 4-in. (10-cm) pods with mildly flavored peas on productive 24 to 30-in. (60 to 75-cm) vines. Resists Fusarium Wilt, Pea Enation Mosaic Virus, Pea Streak. Trellis for easy harvest.

Super Sugar Snap – 66 days.

Produces sweet pods for fresh use and cooking. 6-ft. (1.8-m) vines are high yielding for long periods in both cool and hot weather.

PEPPER - Hot

Anaheim – 76 days.

Long, flattish 8" fruit. Mild pungent flavor. Turns red as it matures.

Carolina Reaper – 95 days.

Officially the hottest pepper in the world as ranked by Guinness Records, with average Scoville units of 1.5 million units. Fiery red fruit has a unique little stinger tail. Flavor is surprisingly good once you get past the heat. NOTE: Extreme caution should be used when handling seeds and picking fruits.

Cayenne – 75 days.

Long, slender, hot pepper to 5-6". Very productive. Good for drying. Red when mature.

De Arbol – 75 days

A small and potent Mexican chile pepper at 15,000-65,000 Scovilles. Matures from green to bright red & retains its color when dried. Use it fresh, cooked or powdered. Often used as decoration in wreaths or hanging swags. Fruit is 2-3 inches long.

Ghost – 160 days.

Recently recognized as one of the hottest chilis on the planet, this East Indian pepper grows pungent red fruits on 18 to 48-in. (46 to 122-cm) plants. Use Gloves!

Guajillo – 75 days.

Guajillo pepper offers classic mild to medium hot flavor, smooth exterior, thick walls and mature deep burgundy color on a strong, early-producing plant. Perfect for salsa or drying for powder. Good garden performer.

Habanero – 90 days.

Very hot, small, 2", thin-walled pepper turns orange when it matures.

Holy Mole – 85 days.

AAS. Tapered 8" peppers mature to dark brown. Medium hot. Perfect for mole.

Jalapeno – 75 days.

Thick walled hot pepper turning green to red.

Padron – 60 days.

Spanish heirloom. Mildly hot at 1-1½" long, hot at 2-3". Saute in olive oil with salt and eat as a tapa.

Poblano – 76 days.

A Poblano type with mild flavor. Tapered 6" fruit. Called Anchos when dried.

Serrano – 75 days.

Slender 2" peppers are quite hot. Bright green to red.

Spicy New Mexican Roasting – 70 days.

Southwestern style Anaheim. Long, 8", green to red peppers. Mild heat, excellent flavor, thick, crisp flesh.

Sriracha – 65-70 days.

Large and firm pepper that is red in color when ripe. Has a long shelf life and good heat content.

Large plant produces orange pumpkins up to 100 pounds.

Cinderella – 105 days.

Tasty, reddish orange pumpkin. Flattened shape with deep ridges. Heavy yields.

Howden – 115 days.

Deep orange, deep ribbed classic pumpkin. Fruits 20-30 pounds, 16" by 13".

Deep orange rounded mini pumpkins. High-yielding, bush-type plants are ideal for small gardens.

Semi-bush plants produce large black-green acorn squash with excellent flavor.

Light colored, 8" winter squash with dark green stripes. Light orange very sweet flesh.

Butternut – 100 days.

Early maturing butternut squash has smooth, tan skin and the seed cavity is small, so you get more flesh per fruit. Great-tasting, bright yellow interior is sweet, fine-textured and smooth.

Sweet Meat – 115 days.

Gray 10-15 pound squash has a rich orange interior with excellent flavor. Good keeper.

Vegetable Spaghetti – 100 days.

Bake, then use a fork to flake out the noodley-looking flesh that easily separates into spaghetti-like strands.

Albion – Everbearing

Produces large, firm berries that are very sweet. High yielding. Bright red in color & the fruit is conical & symmetrical. Good disease resistance.
